I would have posted my thoughts on 2009 earlier, but, due to natural causes, I was unable. So here it is, short and sweet.
2009 ended with a flabby ass, a weeks worth of headaches and two dizzy spells, one of which caused me to see double while I was behind the wheel (on the way to the Dr. ironically enough). I’m sure it’s due to the copious amounts of MSG I’ve been consuming and all of that second hand crack smoke coming from the unit below us.
The Good:
1. Our first anniversary:
We celebrated in Maui, completely unaware of the fact that within a year we would be living in a completely different country far, far away from our favorite destination. Had we known that, I think we would have appreciated that last sunset from our beach front cabana just a little bit more.
2. A promotion:
By far, the best thing that has happened to us this year was learning that Husband got a promotion and that promotion involves us moving to Germany. I love Europe. I miss it. I am looking forward to Husband having a normal schedule again so that we can take weekend trips to Austria, Switzerland and Italy… I seriously cannot wait to spend summers in Paris. I miss the cafe’s, getting on people’s nerves, and the smell of the metro.
You know, at the end of 2008, all I thought I needed was a new year, but now I realize, what I needed all along was a new fucking decade, and this is it…because I say so.
I wish you all the best and I look forward to not showing you my nipples in 2010.
Things are going to start happening now.
