last night was very very low key… i was so worn out from the night before, no sleep and psychosis that I almost slept through the new year. Luckily I was woken up a few minutes before the strike of midnight. It ended up being great though, I slept 12.5 hours and now Im in top shape and ready to carry on with the festivities.

The morning began around noon.. I made eggs benedict. It was miraculous… the hollandaise came out as perfect. The best one I’ve done so far. I chatted a bit on the phone with my friend who makes the movies and we are gearing up to start filming, which is super exciting. We are filming a commercial for his business next week and that should be a ton of fun.

Tonight I am making prime rib with a cabernet/thyme aus jus + yorkshire pudding + mashed sweet potatoes.. mmmm i’ve got a 5 lb roast so there will be pleeenty left over if anyone is hungry and in the hood. I could live in my kitchen, it’s my favorite place…

im having a happy day. i hope you are too and thanks to all who sent me such wonderful wishes for the new year. It was so nice to get the emails and texts…even though i got at least 3 texts from numbers that i don’t know . it’s cool.. i can dig it just the same.
