I hate having my blood drawn.
It makes me squirm and sometimes it makes me pass out (which is really strange considering I have no issues seeing, or drawing, other people’s blood). It’s actually pretty embarrassing, falling face first into the lab technicians lap the second he/she straps on the tourniquet… and I usually end up having to write an apology letter to the entire department explaining that I was not “coming on” to the guy.
So, here I go again. Twice in two weeks. Today they are checking my FSH and estradiol levels. Google is your friend.
With my luck, the results will come back showing that I am actually a man, which would mean that my husband is gay…therefore our marriage would not be valid and neither would my fancy pants health insurance plan, so I’d be stuck paying, out of pocket, for a crappy test that made me pass out and embarrass myself in front of EVERYONE, which I didn’t even WANT to take. I HATE MY LIFE!
What makes matters worse, is that I have to take Muni. It is the WOOOORST fake subway system EVER. It is so S-L-O-W. It goes above ground,which means that it has to STOP at red lights, stop signs, and old ladies crossing. I am impatient, I like efficiency.. in and out…that’s my motto.
Fine, I am leaving… fuckers better find ovaries.

That sucks about the required blood loss, and your passing out. AND – Muni is pretty bad. But live in any other California city – and you’ll REALLY understand what bad public transportation really is.
