We aren’t moving until February and while that sounds like enough time to get shit done, it ain’t. Everything is time sensitive, time consuming…wait-wait-wait.
S-T-R-E-S-S. On top of that, I am on antibiotics which make me want to sleep 24/7. I get no love in this world.
AnyWurst, I do feel like we have made some progress and have gotten some things checked off the never ending list of to-do’s before being up out of here … Daisy began her health clearance process, poor bugger had three shots today. I got my passport in the mail for renewal and he has his paperwork sort of in. I’ve got quotes in regards to shipping our car and found out that his company is paying for relocation (yipee!) Oh and we are in the 99%-we-are-moving phase. It was pretty much confirmed today. We are doing this people. This-Is-Happening.
In regards to my UK citizenship…so far so good. This is important. This will allow me to work abroad anywhere in the EU. I am planning on applying to Lufthansa airlines when I am settled and when my German is good enough. This will give me super fantastic traveling privileges and super fantastic fun times. Must be fluent in German (scratching head) to apply. I can do this. I have been studying my German and I am actually getting pretty good at it. Heck, I learned enough Spanish to converse with my maintenance crew in three days… so 4 months to learn me some German? No problema!
Exciting, exciting.
I am exhausted. These days are going to be long. Someone is coming in tomorrow to do construction on our bathroom and our kitchen. Not looking forward to the intrusion.

Hey Colleen , good news ! I’m pretty convinsed you’re in a frantic…..stress , stress, stress….After all,it’s quiet a task…Even moving to another place whitin your own state or country is’t a piece of cacke,don’t mention moving to another continent ! !
Did your hubbie ( remember….the Jew…)visit Europe before? You told me you once lived in the UK , so for you it’s less alien…..And about the language…well…most important thing is that you have allot of German friends, that way it make’s it so much easier to learn German. Or even better,take a German speaking lover……haha…..
And make sure Daisy also has a German Shepperd friend….can she bark in German allready…?
