I am currently battling either a cold, the standard flu, or the new flu on the block: H1N1. Two out of three people whom I have been in direct contact with in the past week have fallen ill, including one who was diagnosed with H1N1 and what began as a tickle in my throat last night has now turned into a cough, a run-on sentence, and a moderately drippy nose. Normally I wouldn’t be bothered but this weekend I am cooking/catering for a company xmas party with a friend of mine and I would hate to not be able to go. Heck, I am getting paid to cook y’all (!?) which is like being paid to lie on a beach naked in Maui without getting arrested after winning the lottery and taking 10 shots of chilled top shelf vodka.
So, that being exaggerated, I give this virus my blessing. I wish it a speedy takeover. Let’s not beat-off around the bush guy…
Anyway, Thanksgiving was a fucking blast. The fact that nobody remembers the last third of the night is always a good sign of a job well done-ish. We ate like pigs, drank like pigs and behaved like pigs …and for that, I am thankful.

Go to your health food store and buy a large bottle of Sambucus which is Latin for Black Elderberry syrup. follow directions. They have recently found that Elderberry kills the H1N1 virus and blocks and kills other viruses. I’m taking a spoonful everyday and have dodged all kinds of colds and flu going around.
